1-nil down and trying to defend it

The podcast just keeps getting better as this week we have an exciting Serie A Chronicles after a high scoring round of Italian football which saw 35 goals in 10 matches.

It was an enthralling Derby della Capitale which went the way of Sarri's Lazio. Mina and Nicky discuss the contrast between them and Mourinho's Roma, as well as the two managers themselves.

We discuss the rise of Lautaro Martínez for Inter since Romelu Lukaku's departure, after he scored a dream volley against La Dea, and is Atalanta back to being the exciting team we have come to expect under Gasperini?

Nicky trashes Walter Mazzari's Cagliari as Napoli beat them in Lorenzo Insigne's 400th match for the Napolitani, and we hear about some crazy antics by Luciano Spalletti in his past travels, while Mina has high praise for the Partenopei's Victor Osimhen.

Can Juve become the Juve of 9-scudetti-in-a-row quality now that they are back to winning ways, albeit narrowly? And will Paulo Dybala be missed after yet another injury in their victory over Sampdoria in which he scored from a beautiful strike?

Mina describes her disappointment in Samp despite being a big fan of manager Roberto D'Aversa.

Milan win away at Spezia with a first start and goal by Daniel Maldini, the third generation of the Maldini dynasty, and Mina gives us a brief background on Spezia's 19 year old French starlet Janis Antiste.

We have a chuckle about Mattia Destro scoring a goal while holding a bottle of water in Genoa's crazy 3-3 draw with Verona, and newsreaders clinging to reams of paper while presenting the daily news! Can Igor Tudor save Verona from the drop?

Also a discussion about the number of goals in Serie A, now with the highest average across the major European leagues. Does this say anything about the quality of defending?

And Fiorentina earn an away win in Udine in a "hideous" match.
