🟡🔴 Shinpad Shithousery Sideshows as Roma Rules the Rome Derby

It was a memorable Rome derby for the sideshow drama, as Gianluca Mancini scored the winning goal and carried on with the curva sud in the afters, and Paulo Dybala reminded Matteo Guendouzi of their respective international exploits.

Inter earned a stoppage time win at Udinese with a Davide Frattesi goal to set up a potential Scudetto win in the Milan derby.

Rumours abound the happiness (or lack thereof) in the Juventus dressing room and Max Allegri’s job despite a win over Fiorentina.

Claudio Ranieri continues to get every drop out of Cagliari win yet another late late show in a come-from-behind win over Atalanta. Does Atalanta have the tools to get past Liverpool in their Europa League quarter final tie?

Milan easily overcame Lecce ahead of their own Italian derby with Roma in the Europa League. Who goes in to Thursday’s 1st leg with the greater momentum?

[00:02:06] But before I go to them and ask them how their week

[00:02:09] has been, whether they've cried over any other matches,

[00:02:12] I want to tell you, dear listener,

[00:02:30] There's a bunch of interesting things to look at like me

[00:02:33] applying makeup, someone drinking water,

[00:02:35] but you know you might find this interesting.

[00:02:38] Let's start with the show.

[00:02:39] Hello everyone. How are you?

[00:02:42] Good.

[00:02:43] Yeah.

[00:02:44] I haven't cried in a very long time.

[00:02:46] I've been crying for a long time.

[00:02:48] Good.

[00:02:49] Yeah, I haven't cried in a very new football recently,

[00:02:52] but I have been...

[00:02:54] I shouldn't talk about Arsenal on here because for Serie A Chronicles,

[00:02:57] I have been enjoying Arsenal coming back top of the table.

[00:03:00] The crying comes later.

[00:03:01] The crying comes when we lose to Tottenham and it all goes wrong.

[00:03:04] Don't cry for me Argentina.

[00:03:05] Paulo de Barra, we'll get onto that, I think.

[00:03:08] No, I was slightly emotional last night

[00:03:10] when Inter scored in the last minute,

[00:03:12] not because I'm a closet Nerazuri fan,

[00:03:14] but because...

[00:03:15] It must be.

[00:03:16] I was very excited.

[00:03:17] From a purely sort of business standpoint,

[00:03:20] putting my professional hat on,

[00:03:22] which let's be honest is always pretty nearby,

[00:03:27] I was very pleased because from a narrative perspective,

[00:03:29] I love the fact that Inter can win the Scudetto and the Derby,

[00:03:32] whereas had they drawn against Doudinese

[00:03:34] and they ended up winning with a last minute goal,

[00:03:36] then we might have had this weird situation

[00:03:38] whereby Milan won in Reggio Emilia

[00:03:40] and then Inter could have gone.

[00:03:42] The goal thing equivalent of five up with five to play

[00:03:45] from a sort of match play perspective,

[00:03:47] because they might have been 15,

[00:03:49] they would have won the Derby to go 15 clear

[00:03:51] with only five matches remaining.

[00:03:53] So now they can win the Scudetto

[00:03:55] and I quite like the idea that Milan are going to be

[00:03:57] especially motivated to deny them the Scudetto

[00:03:59] by winning the Derby.

[00:04:00] So that's why I was a little bit emotional, yeah,

[00:04:03] by the fact that he's gone.

[00:04:04] Wait, is that what we think?

[00:04:05] Do we think that Milan can stop them?

[00:04:07] I think it's certainly a possibility.

[00:04:09] We're not going to stop them forever,

[00:04:11] but the idea of whether or not the title gets won there

[00:04:14] adds some spice to that game at least.

[00:04:16] Okay, I'm just putting it right here.

[00:04:18] I'm just putting it out there.

[00:04:19] If Piorli does this, if he wins that match,

[00:04:21] then everyone needs to come on here

[00:04:23] and sing Piorli's on fire.

[00:04:24] This man has been so harshly criticised this season

[00:04:27] that I think it's time to fly that flag

[00:04:29] and see and talk about how brilliant he is

[00:04:32] and how much he's not recognised for what he's done.

[00:04:35] But I do sort of want to talk about this

[00:04:38] and I do feel a little bit sorry for Udinese as well.

[00:04:41] I mean, it's heartbreaking.

[00:04:42] Fratese is that kind of threat that...

[00:04:44] Fratese belongs to Cagliere, right?

[00:04:46] Like they love these last-minute goals.

[00:04:48] But we should start with the biggest game of the weekend

[00:04:51] and it's going to be the Derby della Capitale.

[00:04:54] Of course this isn't between Jose Mourinho

[00:04:56] and Maurizio Sari anymore.

[00:04:58] So it wasn't Lazio winning as usual.

[00:05:00] It was Daniela de Hosti Zoromar

[00:05:02] who walked away with a 1-0 victory

[00:05:05] over Igor Tudor's Lazio.

[00:05:09] And producer Simon is so excited.

[00:05:11] He wanted us to create, you know,

[00:05:13] a mammothly amount of podcasts on how wonderful Roma is

[00:05:16] and Daniela de Hosti is.

[00:05:18] I'm not exaggerating.

[00:05:20] So let's start with the biggest match of the season.

[00:05:25] Gianluca Mancini is the man who gets the goal for Roma.

[00:05:30] And I'll be honest with you guys,

[00:05:32] this was a spicy game in the second half

[00:05:34] but we all looked at this before

[00:05:36] and thought on paper, Roma's the better team, right?

[00:05:42] I think that's what we said when we talked about it beforehand.

[00:05:46] I definitely expected Roma to win.

[00:05:48] It wasn't a great Derby.

[00:05:50] The football wasn't vintage.

[00:05:53] It was a scrappy game.

[00:05:55] Roma were the better team

[00:05:57] but they were not their compelling best.

[00:06:00] They've been better than this under Derby di Sari.

[00:06:03] They definitely look like what they are,

[00:06:05] which is a team that's had a manager in the door

[00:06:08] for more than five minutes and so is a bit more coherent.

[00:06:11] I think there were things that you recognised in that team.

[00:06:14] You went, yes, these are clear marks of what Derossi's done.

[00:06:17] I think being an obvious part of that being the interactions

[00:06:21] between Pellegrini and Di Bala

[00:06:23] and the fullback on the right-hand side.

[00:06:25] Just all of those sort of interactions,

[00:06:27] the ability to swap places is so much smoother

[00:06:29] than it was under Mourinho.

[00:06:31] There was much more positivity

[00:06:33] and creativity than I think we've seen in these games under Mourinho.

[00:06:36] That's kind of the big thing, you touched on it there.

[00:06:39] It's impossible not to frame this as

[00:06:42] it's the post-Mourinho and Sari Derby

[00:06:44] because Mourinho lost four out of six Derbys.

[00:06:47] He drew another one so anyone wants.

[00:06:49] It's not a coincidence.

[00:06:51] He got fired six days after losing Derby.

[00:06:53] The fact is just this was that Mourinho's gone.

[00:06:57] Now we've got Derossi.

[00:06:58] We've got the Roman and what a moment for him

[00:07:01] to win one as a manager now as well.

[00:07:03] That's true, Patrick.

[00:07:04] When you think about it, Roma haven't even scored

[00:07:06] since exactly two years ago, it was March 2022,

[00:07:09] that they actually played this game and scored goals.

[00:07:13] Now you look at this and you think,

[00:07:15] finally they're starting to show us what they can do,

[00:07:17] what they are capable of.

[00:07:19] Did you expect any other result than a Roma win?

[00:07:22] I think it was just a question

[00:07:24] whether Roma could score and ultimately

[00:07:26] they needed a set piece to do so.

[00:07:28] We've become used to these very tight Derbys.

[00:07:30] The 1-0 win for Lazio in the cup,

[00:07:32] there were a pair of wins for Lazio.

[00:07:34] 1-0 last season at the reverse fixture was goalless.

[00:07:38] It had become very turgid.

[00:07:40] Mourinho was keeping things tight.

[00:07:42] It's one of those where they say,

[00:07:44] you don't play Derby as you win them.

[00:07:48] Actually what it had become was

[00:07:50] you didn't see Derby or Derby.

[00:07:52] It was a case of trying to avoid defeat

[00:07:54] so as for fear of the opposition getting one over on you.

[00:07:58] As soon as Mancini scored,

[00:08:00] it did feel like Roma had done most of the heavy lifting

[00:08:03] because Lazio never looked like scoring.

[00:08:05] He modulated chance, not withstanding

[00:08:07] when that was Mancini ironically giving the ball away.

[00:08:10] The Derby you mentioned,

[00:08:13] there was nice symmetry to it

[00:08:15] because we'd gone full circle

[00:08:17] because it was the Tammy Abraham Derby

[00:08:19] that one when he scored a brace in the 3-0 win

[00:08:21] and he returned after 10 months on the sidelines

[00:08:23] in the Derby against Lazio.

[00:08:25] That was a icing on the cake for Roma

[00:08:27] and what was basically a perfect day

[00:08:29] Derossi winning his first Derby in the dugout.

[00:08:31] I loved Derossi when he said,

[00:08:33] I sort of took him off the leash,

[00:08:35] gave him a chance, saying I can't wait,

[00:08:37] I can't wait in the way that he described it.

[00:08:39] The imagery I can just imagine of Abraham

[00:08:41] just running around him,

[00:08:43] can I play, can I play, can I play?

[00:08:45] And him being like alright, just go my son.

[00:08:48] But the characters were important.

[00:08:50] Mostly what I love this game for

[00:08:52] and I'm going to say this is my favourite bit.

[00:08:54] This is a bit that actually made me

[00:08:56] think of the guy who played in the

[00:08:58] World Cup in Di Bala.

[00:09:00] Which is when he took out,

[00:09:02] imagine when he took out his shin pad

[00:09:04] and was like look at me winning

[00:09:06] the World Cup to Gwen Duzzi.

[00:09:08] That for me was that, here's the thing,

[00:09:10] yeah I hate antagonistic behaviour.

[00:09:12] I hate it sometimes when players just engage

[00:09:14] in a lot of this shit house story.

[00:09:16] But this kind of level of shit house story,

[00:09:18] this is like my bread and butter.

[00:09:20] I lived for this.

[00:09:22] I mean I watch Italian football for this.

[00:09:24] I watched some of those

[00:09:26] petty, brilliant level of shit house

[00:09:28] that made me think oh you've got to come

[00:09:30] back to Yves and do this.

[00:09:32] Guys I miss you.

[00:09:34] I love that.

[00:09:36] It was just absolutely brilliant.

[00:09:38] And I thought

[00:09:40] Gianluca Mancini is just

[00:09:42] walking around with that flag

[00:09:44] that has the rat on it and was like

[00:09:46] oh I'm sorry I had no idea.

[00:09:48] Genuinely seems like he really had

[00:09:50] no idea what he was doing.

[00:09:52] And I think that's the thing

[00:09:54] that's really important to me

[00:09:56] is that he's a man who has

[00:09:58] always said that his idol

[00:10:00] in defence from all the Italian

[00:10:02] defenders in the world,

[00:10:04] his idol and the man

[00:10:06] whose tattoo, the number

[00:10:08] of his shirt tattooed on his body

[00:10:10] is Materazzi.

[00:10:12] Imagine thinking Materazzi

[00:10:14] is your idol as a defender.

[00:10:16] Marco Materazzi won us a World Cup

[00:10:18] so Marco Materazzi will forever be

[00:10:20] a man who had more

[00:10:22] interact and more involvement in that

[00:10:24] than just the thing that everyone talks about with him.

[00:10:26] It was, I mean it was

[00:10:28] that was what I enjoyed about it as well

[00:10:30] it was a derby like it you want the derby

[00:10:32] to be there's a line

[00:10:34] you don't want it to cross and unfortunately

[00:10:36] their own derby almost always does cross it

[00:10:38] I think once again we had some running

[00:10:40] battles outside and that stuff's never good

[00:10:42] and perhaps there's always an argument

[00:10:44] should players be sitting a better example

[00:10:46] but I'm with you.

[00:10:48] And has literally

[00:10:50] a picture of him winning the World Cup.

[00:10:52] So Guendouzi for context in case no one didn't know this

[00:10:54] there's been an altercation between Guendouzi and Dabala

[00:10:56] and Guendouzi was in the French team

[00:10:58] that lost the World Cup France to Argentina

[00:11:00] but he was on the bench, he didn't play

[00:11:02] bit of a player.

[00:11:04] Yeah so the idea that

[00:11:06] I mean you just think to yourself did Dabala plan that?

[00:11:08] Did he think before the game maybe this will happen

[00:11:10] or where the shim pads?

[00:11:12] He's probably wearing those shim pads every game because

[00:11:14] he's won the World Cup but

[00:11:16] he's not really

[00:11:18] and petty and very funny.

[00:11:20] Mancini's

[00:11:22] I mean Mancini's a bit of an idiot just because

[00:11:24] he's going to get suspended for it most likely

[00:11:26] they're investigating it, they haven't made a judgement yet

[00:11:28] and if you wave around a big flag with

[00:11:30] your opponent's colours and their rat on it

[00:11:32] you're probably going to get in some trouble for it

[00:11:34] but I also

[00:11:36] suppose I can understand

[00:11:38] losing the run of yourself is a defender

[00:11:40] he doesn't score very often and I think he threw his shorts

[00:11:42] into the crowd, he generally was

[00:11:44] most controlled

[00:11:46] at the end of that game.

[00:11:48] That's often been one in Italian football as well isn't it?

[00:11:50] In other parts of the world you limit yourself

[00:11:52] to sort of throwing your shirts in but the amount

[00:11:54] of times we've seen

[00:11:56] muscular Italian men just wearing

[00:11:58] white fronts stood by the Codva down the years

[00:12:00] is...

[00:12:02] Cassano, how many times do I say Cassano on his pants

[00:12:04] in his career?

[00:12:06] Fulcinić, I feel like he was always in his pants as well

[00:12:08] Fulcinić, ex-froamer player as well

[00:12:10] so yeah there you go probably during his UVA time

[00:12:12] what I liked as well coming back to the sort of

[00:12:14] symmetry of it again it was

[00:12:16] de Rossi had spoken about his first

[00:12:18] derby as a player and how Mancini

[00:12:20] the Brazilian had scored a back heel in that

[00:12:22] game and we went full circle from Mancini

[00:12:24] to Mancini same spelling but

[00:12:26] a different pronunciation

[00:12:28] and it's weird

[00:12:30] this stuff about rats because it seems to be

[00:12:32] a real sort of common refrain for

[00:12:34] fan bases to chide one another

[00:12:36] over you know it's a

[00:12:38] common insult among supporters Topo

[00:12:40] Defoni, you know, sewer rat, gutter rat

[00:12:42] quite literally so that's probably

[00:12:44] what Mancini was going for there but yeah

[00:12:46] I had the usual stuff

[00:12:48] unfortunately surrounding the derby

[00:12:50] and Di Balon not only

[00:12:52] showed his shin pads but I think there was also

[00:12:54] a still of him grabbing his

[00:12:56] balls post-match in the direction

[00:12:58] of Gen Duzzi so yeah it

[00:13:00] reminded me a bit of Emi Martinez

[00:13:02] who I know Niki's a fan

[00:13:04] of ex Arsenal goalkeeper

[00:13:06] with his... was it the

[00:13:08] Golden Club wasn't it that he was holding

[00:13:10] down by his

[00:13:12] abdomen let's put it that way

[00:13:14] It's terrible isn't it because

[00:13:16] I simultaneously sort of think that

[00:13:18] you sort of have to have certain levels

[00:13:20] of responsibility as a footballer

[00:13:22] to not set up bad examples but

[00:13:24] I did laugh a lot when Emi Martinez did that

[00:13:26] at the time and I have to admit it and Di Balon

[00:13:28] maybe laughed again this time so

[00:13:30] It's really an article about the emotion

[00:13:32] out of football you can't there has to be

[00:13:34] some of that nonsense allowed

[00:13:36] I thought okay I'm going to be honest

[00:13:38] to you I thought like Argentina's level of

[00:13:40] shithouse when they won the World Cup was bordering

[00:13:42] on the annoying for me because it was like okay

[00:13:44] well you know like they just was so

[00:13:46] almost rude

[00:13:48] in the way that they celebrated

[00:13:50] but Di Balon doing that was so

[00:13:52] like a kid going up to be like I want

[00:13:54] I want I just there was just this bit about it

[00:13:56] It's too childish, it's too childish

[00:13:58] but in a funny way that's the thing

[00:14:00] Yes it wasn't it wasn't offensive

[00:14:02] it was just it was funny I don't know

[00:14:04] whether it's my child's humor but

[00:14:06] in all honesty like if I'm choosing

[00:14:08] I mean I started off

[00:14:10] my I was going to say my career but I started

[00:14:12] off my childhood as being a Lazio fan

[00:14:14] and Igor Tudor is obviously a U-Fan

[00:14:16] display so if there was anyone that I could

[00:14:18] choose in this I should have been choosing

[00:14:20] Lazio for this as a you know

[00:14:22] as a neutral if I was going to side with

[00:14:24] the team and yet I found

[00:14:26] myself so desperate for Roma

[00:14:28] to win and I and I don't know

[00:14:30] whether you get carried away with a

[00:14:32] Daniela de Rossi narrative

[00:14:34] whether it's watching him

[00:14:36] you know sort of lead this team

[00:14:38] as a

[00:14:40] as a captain, as a great

[00:14:42] player, as a legend

[00:14:44] to now you know doing it as a coach

[00:14:46] but there is also something about Igor Tudor

[00:14:48] and I am a little bit worried about Lazio

[00:14:50] it's about just a fire to come in and have to play Juventus twice

[00:14:52] and then Roma I mean it's not an easy schedule

[00:14:54] but there is a part of me that's

[00:14:56] like I just like the way that you've

[00:14:59] spoken throughout and I've

[00:15:01] not been really happy with the way that he's presented

[00:15:03] himself in the media we spoke about this last

[00:15:05] week and he said I want to change

[00:15:07] everything his team looked

[00:15:09] so confused at some

[00:15:11] points on a tactical level

[00:15:13] and I just thought that you know having

[00:15:15] all these ambitions and coming in to

[00:15:17] try to show us how to play the Igor Tudor

[00:15:19] way to show us that you know

[00:15:21] these are your strengths you play with this

[00:15:23] kind of formation you want this kind

[00:15:25] of high-press with the team that you

[00:15:27] haven't had a full summer to train to give

[00:15:29] them the athletic condition that they may need

[00:15:31] how much is this about

[00:15:33] Lazio not really being

[00:15:35] a team that has

[00:15:37] I guess threatened at all

[00:15:39] this season and how much is

[00:15:41] this about Roma story

[00:15:45] I think it depends kind of what you mean

[00:15:47] by how much is it about I mean

[00:15:49] are we going to talk about Dorosy when he

[00:15:51] is the kid who grew up

[00:15:53] to be the captain eventually

[00:15:55] after being captain Fultoro and now get to see

[00:15:57] the present the current manager

[00:15:59] of course we're going to talk about him of course it's going to be his story

[00:16:01] if we're talking about

[00:16:03] footballing terms is there more to it than

[00:16:05] just that yes I think

[00:16:07] Lazio have a

[00:16:09] as important as sort of threading

[00:16:11] this story and how we get this result

[00:16:13] I think that

[00:16:15] you just said it mean a ridiculously hard

[00:16:17] set of games come into he did win the first one

[00:16:19] against Juventus Igor Tudor but to have to

[00:16:21] then go and play them again what three days later

[00:16:23] in the cup and then come back for a Derby

[00:16:25] it's he's asking a lot and he said as much

[00:16:29] Hey it's Kaylee Cuoco for PriceLine

[00:17:05] your here's in conversation with

[00:17:07] business icons this show will

[00:17:09] explore deal making across sports media

[00:17:11] and entertainment that is a harsh

[00:17:13] lesson in business sports is

[00:17:15] not as simple as bringing a bunch of

[00:17:17] big names together I want to do another

[00:17:19] stop you outspeech it opened up so many

[00:17:21] more doors the show is called the deal

[00:17:23] listen to the deal

[00:17:25] listen to the deal on Spotify

[00:17:53] 6.5 21 plus only must be

[00:17:55] physically located in Virginia gambling

[00:17:57] problem call 1 800 gambler

[00:17:59] player for player

[00:18:01] since Malinkovic Savage left and

[00:18:03] we've talked this to death this season wasn't really

[00:18:05] well replaced there's a clear

[00:18:07] talent gap between Romand and Lazio I

[00:18:09] think if I go player for player through those teams

[00:18:11] there's no question in my head that

[00:18:13] Romand have a more talented team

[00:18:15] but I also think it's reasonable for

[00:18:17] Tudor to say look I've been here all week

[00:18:19] we played three games in seven days it's too

[00:18:21] much for the squad we have right now I think he's right and by

[00:18:23] the way Maritziasari was talking endlessly

[00:18:25] about how his squad was not

[00:18:27] actually matter games they were playing before he

[00:18:29] left as well his court between the rock and

[00:18:31] hard place those in the sense that

[00:18:33] you know he's clearly been recruited

[00:18:35] because salary has resigned

[00:18:37] and that's your want to go with something

[00:18:39] different which is why they've identified his

[00:18:41] profile in the first place so the reason

[00:18:43] he's in a job is because they want to break

[00:18:45] with that 433 system they want

[00:18:47] to go with something different so he's right

[00:18:49] to try and incorporate his ideas his ideas

[00:18:51] are naturally quite complex like

[00:18:53] any modern coach worth their salt would

[00:18:55] have complex footballing philosophies so

[00:18:57] you either take the very short-term view and

[00:18:59] say there's nothing I can do with the volume

[00:19:01] of games that we have we don't have enough

[00:19:03] training sessions at Fort Mello to

[00:19:05] properly work on these concepts

[00:19:07] so we're better off sticking to what we

[00:19:09] do and waiting for the summer

[00:19:11] but equally he's also needs to get results between

[00:19:13] now the end of the season to justify why

[00:19:15] he's been hired in the first place so I think it's a very

[00:19:17] tough balance to strike I think he was

[00:19:19] there was a bit of

[00:19:21] it was slightly

[00:19:23] misleading that result against Juventus yes

[00:19:25] they were bold Juventus were poor

[00:19:27] but if Latio don't score that added time goal

[00:19:29] then maybe we're talking about a goalless draw

[00:19:31] to start they haven't then scored you know maybe

[00:19:33] we're talking about three games without scoring

[00:19:35] if Marisic doesn't score that header and that's

[00:19:37] the young kid second love for Juventus on his debut

[00:19:39] who loses Marisic in the first place

[00:19:41] so I think there's huge work

[00:19:43] to be done I don't envy him at all

[00:19:45] I think there's almost an impossible task back to

[00:19:47] back games against Juventus and then the Derby to start

[00:19:49] with and I think we can only start to

[00:19:51] judge two door properly

[00:19:53] as in when he's had 10 games of next season

[00:19:55] but the problem is you have to judge him because it's

[00:19:57] football and he needs to get results between

[00:19:59] now the end of the season otherwise they could find

[00:20:01] themselves on the bottom half of the table Latio

[00:20:03] you know it's an interesting thing that we

[00:20:05] should sort of perhaps discuss about coming

[00:20:07] coaches coming in you know because a lot of

[00:20:09] the times we've spoken about you know he hasn't

[00:20:11] changed everything like in Zaghi with Conte

[00:20:13] or Allegri with Conte it was it was a slow

[00:20:15] change and incorporating their

[00:20:17] idea slowly and then you have

[00:20:19] a look at sort of Daniela Derossi who came in

[00:20:21] at Roma and the team went from

[00:20:23] being a low block that defended with all their lives

[00:20:25] to being a very attacking

[00:20:27] compact team so I wonder

[00:20:29] you know what is the right way to come

[00:20:31] in and you know do you shake up a squad

[00:20:33] straight away do you introduce your idea slowly

[00:20:35] that's probably a discussion for

[00:20:37] another day but I think

[00:20:39] that it's it's worth noting that

[00:20:41] Derossi doesn't have the job there were

[00:20:43] rumours about

[00:20:45] Manuel Pellegrini coming in which

[00:20:47] he's had to deny because it's probably

[00:20:49] worth mentioning that there wasn't a La Liga

[00:20:51] round because they had the Copa del Rey

[00:20:53] to play so Spanish

[00:20:55] teams were off up to

[00:20:57] 10 days they haven't played football so a

[00:20:59] lot of the coaches have gone away

[00:21:01] he went away with his family Pellegrini

[00:21:03] to Rome and because he went

[00:21:05] to watch the match people now think he's going to be the next coach

[00:21:07] of Roma

[00:21:09] but it's nice to be given the job full

[00:21:11] time now that's what I like enough

[00:21:13] two-year contracts already been drafted for Derossi

[00:21:15] apparently they're just waiting to

[00:21:17] actually officially consign it so I think

[00:21:19] it's pretty much nailed on at the stage

[00:21:21] given the freedkins have been

[00:21:23] pretty upfront all the way along that getting back in

[00:21:25] the Champions League was number one goal if he delivers

[00:21:27] the Champions League which is like it's

[00:21:29] not done at Atlanta they win the game

[00:21:31] and hand are still within

[00:21:33] three points it's still not certain

[00:21:35] that it will get the fifth Champions League spot it looks likely

[00:21:37] but it's not done yet

[00:21:39] but if he gets them into the Champions League I think

[00:21:41] even if you think

[00:21:43] and I'm sure some people do that I know people do

[00:21:45] because they wrote it all under my column this week

[00:21:47] that even if you think he's just another Oleg

[00:21:49] Nassosha you kind of just have to let him

[00:21:51] do it you kind of let it

[00:21:53] let him have that chance if he's earned it

[00:21:55] and I think that's

[00:21:57] reason to believe he's more than just Oleg Nassosha

[00:21:59] actually

[00:22:01] I'm surprised I didn't want things that

[00:22:03] because the level of the way that

[00:22:05] the team moves the tactical movement like

[00:22:07] he's just not but anyway

[00:22:09] I think there's just the different stories

[00:22:11] really when you get into it

[00:22:13] Derossi is the son of a coach

[00:22:15] he's someone who grew up with someone who

[00:22:17] ran the Roma's

[00:22:19] youth system for a really long time I think

[00:22:21] there's a completely different context to his

[00:22:23] life story and I think there was an assumption

[00:22:25] perhaps when he came in that he wouldn't know anything about coaching and

[00:22:27] I still don't

[00:22:29] think we can say anything like oh he's the next

[00:22:31] great Italian manager but I think he's

[00:22:33] shown he's got at least some

[00:22:35] some more to him than

[00:22:37] people might have assumed

[00:22:39] and fans are always willing to give you time to learn

[00:22:41] on the job when you are indeed a legend

[00:22:43] or somebody that belongs to them

[00:22:45] and when you win the Derby, that's the thing with Trudia as well

[00:22:47] for both of these men these games

[00:22:49] matter most in Roma they just do

[00:22:51] they just do indeed

[00:22:53] okay so that's done and Roma continue

[00:22:55] to push for a top four

[00:22:57] place but like we said top five

[00:22:59] may well be enough a Champions League

[00:23:01] in Serie A

[00:23:03] let's move on to Inter because Roma have spoken about them

[00:23:05] and this was a tricky game against

[00:23:07] Doudinese because they actually

[00:23:09] went a goal behind

[00:23:11] Patrick you were

[00:23:13] commenting on this particular match

[00:23:15] and I was

[00:23:17] listening as you were talking about

[00:23:19] the mix up that led to Doudinese's

[00:23:21] first goal

[00:23:23] obviously Inter then get a penalty

[00:23:25] and then Fletezy comes

[00:23:27] in with one of his glorious

[00:23:29] abilities to score a tap in

[00:23:31] at the end of the game to seal

[00:23:33] the win and then set up this

[00:23:35] perfect narrative that they go

[00:23:37] to the Derby and potentially

[00:23:39] win the second star

[00:23:41] the Scudetto at San Siro

[00:23:43] in the against Milan

[00:23:45] um

[00:23:47] and Patrick

[00:23:49] two yellow cards for Lauta

[00:23:51] Martínez and Pavard so that they would

[00:23:53] miss Cagliari so that they are

[00:23:55] all available

[00:23:57] for Milan as well

[00:23:59] so a little bit of a Mourinho style tactics there too

[00:24:01] from Inter

[00:24:03] what do you think?

[00:24:05] I don't want to say do you think they're going to beat Milan

[00:24:07] but

[00:24:09] it's interesting actually because when I saw those two yellow cards

[00:24:11] and they were both late on

[00:24:13] it was still one all so there was a hint of desperation

[00:24:15] about Inter because had they drawn then

[00:24:17] everything would have been shelved in terms of those plans

[00:24:19] but Pavard

[00:24:21] and Lautana they were both quite cynical

[00:24:23] challenges so I'm not sure whether it was a deliberate

[00:24:25] yellow card or not I feel like if you are trying to get

[00:24:27] book you do it much earlier

[00:24:29] in the game and then the suspension

[00:24:31] is done

[00:24:33] it's always a very difficult

[00:24:35] balancing out there

[00:24:37] when you're broadcasting as to whether to allude

[00:24:39] to that without outright

[00:24:41] accusing the players of

[00:24:43] cynicism or even cheating

[00:24:45] basically I guess it's not cheating

[00:24:47] it's being cynical but anyway

[00:24:49] coming to the main story

[00:24:51] itself I think it's a strange one

[00:24:53] because

[00:24:55] if you think about it the last time

[00:24:57] Inter won the Scudetto under Antonio Conte

[00:24:59] the Scudetto was sealed

[00:25:01] with a game at the Mappe Stadium

[00:25:03] in Reggio Emilia as Atalanta failing

[00:25:05] to beat Sassuolo and Inter were champions

[00:25:07] without playing

[00:25:09] Milan go to Reggio Emilia next

[00:25:11] which is the ground where they won the Scudetto

[00:25:13] two years ago

[00:25:15] and if Milan were to lose to Sassuolo

[00:25:17] and then Inter beat Cagliari

[00:25:19] later that day we might even have

[00:25:21] Inter as being champions before the Derby

[00:25:23] it's unexpected but Sassuolo are

[00:25:25] Milan's bogey team

[00:25:27] Sassuolo are scrapping for their lives

[00:25:29] and we saw last night with Udinese

[00:25:31] in a relegation battle just how awkward these fixtures can be

[00:25:33] I think I've been hearing a lot of talk about

[00:25:35] how easy I know we'll get to Atalanta later on

[00:25:37] but there's been a lot of talk about

[00:25:39] how easy Atalanta is running

[00:25:41] because they're playing X, Y and Z

[00:25:43] but what you find is unless you find

[00:25:45] unless you're up against those teams that are in mid-table

[00:25:47] there's a very small band of mid-table teams

[00:25:49] like Genoa, Monza and Serino

[00:25:51] unless you're playing those everyone else has something tangible

[00:25:53] to play for so I think that

[00:25:55] Inter's home game against Cagliari won't be a formality

[00:25:57] especially with Cagliari having beaten Atalanta

[00:25:59] but it was great to see again

[00:26:01] because Fratesi got his first Inter goal

[00:26:03] in the Derby that came in added time

[00:26:05] he was the one who scored the winning goal

[00:26:07] against Verona on Epiphany

[00:26:09] so that was Inter's first league game of 2024

[00:26:11] they won 10 in a row from there

[00:26:13] they've only dropped two points that game against Napoli

[00:26:15] and it looked like they were going to drop more points

[00:26:17] and what I loved was just the outpouring of emotion

[00:26:19] and the reaction to this goal

[00:26:21] it felt like that they had done the hardest bit

[00:26:25] Arnautovic back for Alexis Sanchez

[00:26:27] Lautaro Martinez

[00:26:29] and Salli for Fratesi

[00:26:33] just like in January against Verona

[00:26:35] Davide Fratesi comes up with a match winning moment

[00:26:39] and Inter are now

[00:26:41] within two wins of the Scudetto

[00:26:43] Inter come from behind to win

[00:26:47] there's just no stopping the Nerazzurri

[00:26:49] I think they believe it will be a formality

[00:26:51] they'll beat Cagliari and then they'll back themselves

[00:26:53] to beat Milan in yet another Derby

[00:26:55] having won five from five in 2023

[00:26:57] I felt the reaction too was really interesting

[00:26:59] because I do think that

[00:27:01] as journalists

[00:27:03] we've been guilty

[00:27:05] I think I've been guilty of

[00:27:07] looking at this title and treating it for a while

[00:27:09] it's a foreclosure

[00:27:11] because they've been so far in front

[00:27:13] and I do think it's a foreclosure

[00:27:15] I do think they're going to win

[00:27:17] but I think that

[00:27:19] in some ways

[00:27:21] as viewers

[00:27:23] and as journalists we can allow that

[00:27:25] to almost downgrade it in some way in our minds

[00:27:27] like I said it's not a big deal

[00:27:29] because they've been doing it for such a long time

[00:27:31] and I think that that celebration

[00:27:33] was a very vivid visual reminder

[00:27:35] that they've worked really bloody hard for it

[00:27:37] like it's not

[00:27:39] the fact that they've made it look easy

[00:27:41] doesn't mean that it's easy

[00:27:43] the fact that they've made it look easy

[00:27:45] just a reflection of how good they've been

[00:27:47] and the fact that it's not

[00:27:49] perhaps the season we believe they could have

[00:27:51] where they could have gone far in the Champions League as well

[00:27:53] doesn't make it actually less of a deal

[00:27:55] for them to win Cereba Cosmos

[00:27:57] those players will win league titles

[00:27:59] either for some it will be the first time they've ever won one

[00:28:01] for some it will be

[00:28:03] one of a very small handful of league titles

[00:28:05] they win in their career

[00:28:07] there's a World Cup, there's always the Champions League

[00:28:09] but there is a limited window

[00:28:11] you have as a professional footballer to win

[00:28:13] big European

[00:28:15] domestically titles

[00:28:17] and these players have really earned it

[00:28:19] so it was a really

[00:28:21] it was a great celebration as Patrick says

[00:28:23] I do need

[00:28:25] Flatizzi to do this for Italy in the summer

[00:28:27] need him to be that super

[00:28:29] last minute game winner for us

[00:28:31] just putting that on record now

[00:28:33] but

[00:28:35] it was a

[00:28:37] it was a fellow

[00:28:39] another well deserved moment of celebration

[00:28:41] for Inter they've been better than this

[00:28:43] this season this wasn't their best of performance

[00:28:45] but that willingness to go to the end of games

[00:28:47] has been one of their traits domestically

[00:28:49] at least

[00:28:51] yeah and we have to recognise

[00:28:53] the fact that we've seen this team

[00:28:55] provide the

[00:28:57] consistency that you require

[00:28:59] of champions, Chaneloglu has been

[00:29:01] bringing in so for so much of the season

[00:29:03] it's really interesting for him to

[00:29:05] win the title against Milan

[00:29:07] he's trying to keep a poker face

[00:29:09] about all of it

[00:29:11] but it's also this is

[00:29:13] if he scores

[00:29:15] the goal that seals the

[00:29:17] it's just quite likely given he takes penalties as well

[00:29:19] you can easily get a penalty in the derby

[00:29:21] can you imagine the celebrations and his first

[00:29:23] Inter goal came in the derby as well

[00:29:25] would you not take out a shin pad

[00:29:27] and just show us Ibrahimovic

[00:29:29] that's what I would do

[00:29:31] what would he have on it

[00:29:33] would you have AI

[00:29:35] predicting what the title celebrations

[00:29:37] would look like

[00:29:39] so an open top fast with Inter fans surrounding it

[00:29:41] and the Inter players doing chance

[00:29:43] derogatory chance in the direction of

[00:29:45] Ibrahimovic, I tell you what

[00:29:47] really felt like

[00:29:49] you know we just sometimes

[00:29:51] we know Inter are going to win the league

[00:29:53] but it's just like we knew that when Napoli were going to win the league

[00:29:55] and someone made a very good comparison

[00:29:57] last night to me on Twitter said

[00:29:59] that the Asperdori added time volley against Juventus

[00:30:01] when it was the sort of final hurdle

[00:30:03] that overcome for Napoli last season

[00:30:05] but what it reminded me of a bit last night

[00:30:07] was how different Inter are

[00:30:09] Inter are to two years ago

[00:30:11] because that soma mistake

[00:30:13] is not dissimilar really to the Radu mistake

[00:30:15] at Bologna, it's a slapstick goalkeeping moment

[00:30:17] you know it was Radu

[00:30:19] scoring an own goal with that

[00:30:21] Pederzic throw back to him

[00:30:23] and he swept it almost it was going across the line

[00:30:25] and Nicola Sansone

[00:30:27] and this was Samaric

[00:30:29] just with a shot which deflected

[00:30:31] of Carlos Augusto

[00:30:33] Dumfries could have stepped in and cleared it

[00:30:35] soma should have grabbed it, neither player did anything

[00:30:37] and the ball went into the net and you think

[00:30:39] after all the brilliance

[00:30:41] after you've been almost flawless throughout this season

[00:30:43] to not be able to win the title

[00:30:45] with five games to spare against your great rivals

[00:30:47] who you're trying to get to 20 titles ahead of

[00:30:49] because of one shocking moment like that

[00:30:51] just would have felt very unfair so I think

[00:30:53] Inter almost deserved to go on and get that winner

[00:30:55] and Fratese just shows that

[00:30:57] he seems to have a knack for knowing where the ball

[00:30:59] dropped because that was his fourth attempt

[00:31:01] of the match and eventually it was why

[00:31:03] couldn't really miss

[00:31:05] I had this stat that I was going to bring in

[00:31:07] and after the scenes of the other

[00:31:09] it's making me sort of laugh at it

[00:31:11] because I was thinking

[00:31:13] talking about the end of games and Inter

[00:31:15] being the Fino Alifina team really this season

[00:31:17] being what the eventists have always wanted to find themselves as

[00:31:19] last 15 minutes of Serie A games

[00:31:21] Inter have outscored opponents

[00:31:23] 18 goals to 1

[00:31:25] so if you just play the last 15 minutes

[00:31:27] 18 goals to 1 and that's a pretty astonishing statistic

[00:31:29] right no one else is close to that

[00:31:31] the thing is though because it's Inter

[00:31:33] you could pick a different time in the game

[00:31:35] you go first 15 minutes

[00:31:37] 10 to 0 in the first 15 minutes

[00:31:39] so actually they're just outscoring everyone all the time

[00:31:41] is the point really isn't it?

[00:31:43] Yeah, they really are.

[00:31:45] Dare I say I don't think statistics

[00:31:47] they don't discriminate with added time

[00:31:49] so there were seven minutes of added time

[00:31:51] they eventually played nine so if you think about it

[00:31:53] that last window is always just like

[00:31:55] the window going into halftime but typically

[00:31:57] you'd only get two or three minutes max

[00:31:59] halftime was ever since the Qatar World Cup

[00:32:01] I feel like we're getting five or six minutes

[00:32:03] minimum to be honest

[00:32:05] I just want a second to say that

[00:32:07] I wrote a piece

[00:32:09] because Nzagi's being linked to some big jobs

[00:32:11] and I was going through

[00:32:13] some of my research

[00:32:15] on Nzagi over the years

[00:32:17] and

[00:32:19] on April 4

[00:32:21] so on the 1st of April last year they lost to

[00:32:23] Fiorentina Inter

[00:32:25] and Gazette de la Sport at the time

[00:32:27] had written

[00:32:29] it would be ludicrous to imagine that Nzagi

[00:32:31] would still keep his job at the end

[00:32:33] of the season and unless

[00:32:35] he wins the Champions League and that would be

[00:32:37] utopian and it was

[00:32:39] it's incredible to see how one year later

[00:32:41] the Manresa Champions League final is winning the

[00:32:43] Scudetto and he is finally being

[00:32:45] recognised for the brilliant

[00:32:47] competition that he has been

[00:32:49] not just at Inter but at Lazio

[00:32:51] so you know how we were all a little bit happy for

[00:32:53] Sadie when he was winning it

[00:32:55] because he deserved it

[00:32:57] he deserved to lift the Scudetto

[00:32:59] I think this is Nzagi's moment

[00:33:01] and he really deserves to be up there

[00:33:03] to get the plaudits

[00:33:05] and I feel like he's been fighting the shadow of

[00:33:07] Antonio Conte for so long after he arrived

[00:33:09] and then it was

[00:33:11] your team wasn't performing

[00:34:13] you know we look at this team and I'm still

[00:34:15] not convinced that they're all superstars

[00:34:17] by the way, I think there are a lot of many good players

[00:34:19] but I look at Mekaterian and I think that you made

[00:34:21] this guy such a brilliant force

[00:34:23] and you've made so many others

[00:34:25] and you've addressed

[00:34:27] a lot of the weaknesses that people have accused

[00:34:29] you of before so

[00:34:31] congratulations to him

[00:34:33] it's not going so well

[00:34:35] of course you vent his

[00:34:37] but Allegri did finally get the win

[00:34:39] there is all these

[00:34:41] rumors about how much he's been shouting

[00:34:43] at the team, how much

[00:34:45] they risk going and conceding

[00:34:47] at the final minute because once again

[00:34:49] you can only play for one half

[00:34:51] that could be the first half, that could be the second

[00:34:53] half take your pick it's always exciting to know

[00:34:55] which half they're gonna show up in

[00:34:57] that's about as exciting as it gets when you're a

[00:34:59] you vent his fan at the moment

[00:35:01] are they gonna start off really well or are they gonna end it really well

[00:35:03] either way it was

[00:35:05] a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina

[00:35:07] which means they're back to winning ways I don't think we need to talk about them

[00:35:09] very much because obviously we've covered them

[00:35:11] you know so often

[00:35:13] but it's probably

[00:35:15] it's probably worth noting that

[00:35:17] Fabrizio Romano has talked about the fact that he thinks

[00:35:19] Allegri will leave at the end of the season

[00:35:21] and that this is the final year

[00:35:23] there is, there does seem to be a

[00:35:25] disconnect but interestingly

[00:35:27] more than ever I've seen a lot of pro-Alegri comments

[00:35:29] this week so

[00:35:31] I wonder what's going on there

[00:35:33] a lot of people blaming whether the squad

[00:35:35] for being so mediocre that it's almost impossible

[00:35:37] to represent Juventus

[00:35:39] with this level of talent

[00:35:41] either way, Flavage seems to be a

[00:35:43] Juventus level player

[00:35:45] I doubt, I mean

[00:35:47] is it just

[00:35:49] the

[00:35:51] the mutibular of the X

[00:35:55] is it that or is it I mean

[00:35:57] I think he's a very good player

[00:35:59] but I've constantly maintained that

[00:36:01] to be honest I don't think he's

[00:36:03] necessarily world class but I think he's

[00:36:05] one of the five best

[00:36:07] strikers in Italy

[00:36:09] and actually I would say five best forwards

[00:36:11] you know I would

[00:36:13] he's one of the best number nine

[00:36:15] it's not the best number nine

[00:36:17] it's not the best, oh you think he's better than

[00:36:19] Awesome in all Aotearo

[00:36:21] I think Aotearo is more of a nine and a half

[00:36:23] I think Flavage

[00:36:25] in terms of potential

[00:36:27] is better than Giroux

[00:36:29] I think Giroux is off to Major League Soccer now

[00:36:31] yeah I think if you put him in

[00:36:33] goal scoring positions he can score

[00:36:35] more goals than he's got more to his game

[00:36:37] than Giroux, I'm a big Giroux fan

[00:36:39] don't get me wrong but I think

[00:36:41] the difference between Giroux and Flavage

[00:36:43] is Giroux has squeezed out every last drop

[00:36:45] of talent through intelligence

[00:36:47] and work rate whereas I think Flavage

[00:36:49] can occasionally be a little bit complacent

[00:36:51] and his temperament still lets him down

[00:36:53] but can Flavage jump

[00:36:55] 233 meters

[00:36:57] like Awesome in?

[00:36:59] actually three meters

[00:37:01] that would be quite a jump

[00:37:03] not 233

[00:37:05] Superman

[00:37:07] he's going to go to the sky

[00:37:09] absolutely

[00:37:11] oh gosh

[00:37:13] look where my mind is

[00:37:15] I mean that was

[00:37:17] it's amazing isn't it

[00:37:19] that goal for Oceeman

[00:37:21] was almost the least memorable

[00:37:23] when he scored it was the equalizer

[00:37:25] you think that's an incredible header

[00:37:27] but he went on to score some even better goals

[00:37:29] than there but no I think

[00:37:31] you're right I don't think there's much to say about Juventus

[00:37:33] save for the fact

[00:37:35] that they are the third best team in Serie A

[00:37:37] I think they'll end up as the third best team in Serie A

[00:37:39] I don't see them overhauling Milan

[00:37:41] I don't see them necessarily being caught now after Bologna

[00:37:43] could only draw at Frosinone

[00:37:45] and I think it is time

[00:37:47] now to break with the past with Allegri

[00:37:49] I think it's time for a new coach to come in

[00:37:51] and what a situation to inherit

[00:37:53] you've got a slightly disgruntled fan base

[00:37:55] you've got young players with big potential

[00:37:57] possibly coming back to the club

[00:37:59] certainly to have a look at them in the summer

[00:38:01] Atia Soleil, Dean Hoyson and so on and so forth

[00:38:03] you're going to have Champions League football

[00:38:05] and you're going to be involved in the club world cup

[00:38:07] so whoever gets that job if there is a vacancy

[00:38:09] is going to have a really interesting third season

[00:38:13] God willing it is in a Dinsa Jahan

[00:38:15] but

[00:38:17] I do want to talk about Atalanta

[00:38:19] because they have an upcoming

[00:38:21] what their upcoming game is against Liverpool

[00:38:23] they lost to Calieri

[00:38:27] by the way it doesn't get enough of a mention

[00:38:29] for how good Calieri has been

[00:38:31] recently I mean I looked at their games

[00:38:33] in 2024 and there's only

[00:38:35] two matches out of 13 I believe that they

[00:38:37] haven't scored so they always come up

[00:38:39] with a goal they've got the second

[00:38:41] amount of goals coming from substitutions

[00:38:43] only me and Anna has done better

[00:38:45] with their substitutes than what Calieri

[00:38:47] has managed with theirs

[00:38:49] more importantly they've recovered

[00:38:51] I think 15 to 16 points

[00:38:55] by coming back

[00:38:57] games so going one

[00:38:59] down or two down and coming back

[00:39:01] so disadvantageous positions

[00:39:03] I don't know how well to explain this

[00:39:05] I feel like I don't know the right word

[00:39:07] losing positions

[00:39:09] thank you very simple

[00:39:11] but coming back from losing positions

[00:39:13] I think only Napoli has done better

[00:39:15] in recovering points from losing positions

[00:39:17] so Calieri overall

[00:39:19] it really shows you that the strength

[00:39:21] of Ranieri more importantly

[00:39:23] the way in which they score goals

[00:39:25] at the final 15 minutes of matches

[00:39:27] which shows a never say die attitude

[00:39:29] and they are in a relegation

[00:39:31] battle

[00:39:35] there's something about them that makes

[00:39:37] it seem like it would be so disastrous

[00:39:39] for this team to go away

[00:39:41] I mean the way that they have been

[00:39:43] under Ranieri this season deserves a lot more attention

[00:39:45] but of course them winning against Atelanta

[00:39:47] means that this was the second loss

[00:39:49] of Atelanta in a row

[00:39:51] coming against Fiorentina midweek

[00:39:53] in the Coppa Italia

[00:39:55] and of course we had a voice note

[00:39:57] on that

[00:39:59] is it over for Atelanta

[00:40:01] they have Liverpool coming up

[00:40:03] they seem to be exhausted

[00:40:05] I mean you look at this team

[00:40:07] it's trying to do what's all at the moment

[00:40:09] but can they make Champions League

[00:40:11] when you consider the form of Bologna

[00:40:13] when you consider the form of Roma

[00:40:15] the schedule that they have

[00:40:17] some say it's quite easy

[00:40:19] there's two conversations to have

[00:40:21] I've got my head on Caliari

[00:40:23] and Ranieri because of course

[00:40:25] there was that extraordinary game

[00:40:27] against Fosnana earlier in the season

[00:40:29] where they were losing by three goals

[00:40:31] after 17th minute came back to win 4-3

[00:40:33] never happened before

[00:40:35] they got the 95th minute equaliser

[00:40:37] against Napoli more recently

[00:40:39] they've been doing it all season as you say Mina

[00:40:41] and Ranieri has absolutely been

[00:40:43] out of everything

[00:40:45] out of everyone frankly

[00:40:47] 4 goals this season

[00:40:49] 35 I think

[00:40:51] he's certainly no spring chicken

[00:40:53] but as a bit plant player

[00:40:55] he's close to it, isn't he Viola

[00:40:57] 34

[00:40:59] so

[00:41:01] he's doing an extraordinary job

[00:41:03] and that needs to be credited

[00:41:05] for sure

[00:41:07] Atelanta do feel

[00:41:09] like a team that's running

[00:41:11] out of steam at the wrong moment

[00:41:13] it's really unfortunate

[00:41:15] it's terrible timing going into that game

[00:41:17] against Liverpool and perhaps

[00:41:19] it will turn out just because they've been keeping

[00:41:21] something in reserve for Liverpool

[00:41:23] but I do think there was maybe

[00:41:25] a little bit in this game specifically

[00:41:27] of complacency

[00:41:29] they certainly had had a brutally physical

[00:41:31] game against Fiolentino midweek

[00:41:33] I talked about that on my voice note

[00:41:35] it was a really violent game of football

[00:41:37] and I guess when

[00:41:39] they got in front so early here

[00:41:41] with Scamaca there might have been a little bit of

[00:41:43] a call we could do with an easy game here

[00:41:45] because we've got Liverpool coming up next

[00:41:47] and perhaps that led them into a bit of complacency

[00:41:49] but they really do seem

[00:41:51] in an odd way

[00:41:53] because there are still things in the team that are good

[00:41:55] Coop Miners is still playing some brilliant passes

[00:41:57] Scamaca scoring

[00:41:59] is obviously encouraging

[00:42:01] Atelanta look and still get some self-interesting positions

[00:42:03] but they just feel like

[00:42:05] they've lost a little bit of that

[00:42:07] momentum that you need in this last part of the season

[00:42:09] There was a big

[00:42:11] absentee there without George Osscalvini

[00:42:13] for a month and I know he's had his detractors

[00:42:15] but he's very accomplished

[00:42:17] and that has really disrupted

[00:42:19] the rotations for Gasperini as well

[00:42:21] because they signed Esac Heeyen from Verona in January

[00:42:23] and recently he's become

[00:42:25] first in regular has been excellent we saw it against Napoli

[00:42:27] in particular completely nullifying

[00:42:29] Ossiman and Heeyen

[00:42:31] was given a rest Rafael Toloy came in

[00:42:33] that's because Osscalvini is injured

[00:42:35] and Gasperini doesn't want to play the same back three

[00:42:37] for every single game

[00:42:39] and they've got lots of matches coming up

[00:42:41] so he thought I'll rest Heeyen so that he's fit enough

[00:42:43] for the Liverpool game and he's fresh

[00:42:45] and will give Toloy a chance

[00:42:47] but Toloy hadn't started a game since October

[00:42:49] and it showed despite him being the club captain

[00:42:51] they've got Palomino who they're unwilling

[00:42:53] to play completely

[00:42:55] he's played about 30 minutes all told all season

[00:42:57] so I think that's the problem for Atelanta

[00:42:59] and they haven't taken the same approach that

[00:43:01] Fiorentina have where Fiorentina have basically said

[00:43:03] forget about Serie A

[00:43:05] we're going to try and qualify for Europe either by winning

[00:43:07] the Coppa Italia or by winning the Conference League

[00:43:09] and what will be domestically

[00:43:11] whereas Atelanta ideally

[00:43:13] would love to win the Coppa Italia because that's

[00:43:15] the most tangible trophy that

[00:43:17] closest to that but now they've got that first leg deficit

[00:43:19] they're going to start a huge underdogs against Liverpool

[00:43:21] and yet they're in

[00:43:23] they're within touching

[00:43:25] distance of the top five as well so

[00:43:27] it's very difficult for Gasperini to get his team

[00:43:29] selection right and I think he got it wrong and I think

[00:43:31] Nikki's absolutely right they almost scored too early

[00:43:33] and didn't kick on and pursue

[00:43:35] that second goal and just on Cagliere I think

[00:43:37] they can be slightly misleading

[00:43:39] those statistics you know when you say

[00:43:41] they've recovered X amount of points

[00:43:43] from losing positions it's true but

[00:43:45] often it can just be quite

[00:43:47] coincidental that in that match they conceded first

[00:43:49] as opposed to scoring first

[00:43:51] you know there are teams like Liverpool and the Premier League

[00:43:53] that feel like they frequently concede

[00:43:55] the first goal and yet it feels inevitable they're going to come back

[00:43:57] it's not obviously the same thing with Cagliere

[00:43:59] but I think they're always going to concede

[00:44:01] because they don't keep too many clean sheets

[00:44:03] and so as a result for them to get points

[00:44:05] they need to score sooner or later

[00:44:07] and that's what they managed

[00:44:09] and lovely play from Elders

[00:44:11] Shamarodov in holding the ball up

[00:44:13] for the first goal as well

[00:44:15] I was always a really big fan of his

[00:44:17] I was always disappointed it didn't work out for him at Roma

[00:44:19] but it was amazing because he was

[00:44:21] being tracked by so many different defenders

[00:44:23] and still had the thought to pass

[00:44:25] anyway I was really pleased for them

[00:44:27] but there is something to be said if I agree with you

[00:44:29] about recovering points

[00:44:31] and conceding first it can happen when you're Cagliere

[00:44:33] but it's also the never say die attitude

[00:44:35] that they have that I think is quite

[00:44:37] unusual for their level of team

[00:44:39] because you know it's understandable

[00:44:41] for them to be complacent sometimes

[00:44:43] and it's understandable to say okay we're going to lose this one

[00:44:45] but they never do that they always have the right

[00:44:47] attitude which is something that I don't think

[00:44:49] could be said about Atelanta

[00:44:51] which is exactly what Gasperini said

[00:44:53] is we need to show this level

[00:44:55] of commitment to winning games that we saw

[00:44:57] Cagliere do show and I wonder

[00:44:59] if we're going to see that against Liverpool

[00:45:01] do we see this being anything other than

[00:45:03] a comprehensive win for the English side

[00:45:05] I think

[00:45:07] that Atelanta have

[00:45:09] the tools to hurt any team

[00:45:11] if things go right

[00:45:13] I think when you look at that team and even look at that game

[00:45:15] against Cagliere what was good in that performance

[00:45:17] it was the front part of the team right

[00:45:19] like I said before Scamacchic is going well

[00:45:21] Lukman gets into good positions

[00:45:23] and certainly a player who can unpick defences

[00:45:25] you've got tools to unpick something

[00:45:27] I just don't see how they're going to get away

[00:45:29] from Liverpool without conceding

[00:45:31] three or four times the way they're playing at the moment

[00:45:33] and I think that's the reason why it's hard to see them getting results

[00:45:35] They need to come back to Bergamo with Max

[00:45:37] one goal deficit to have any chance

[00:45:39] of winning the tie and I don't see it

[00:45:41] I see them being beaten by two or three goals

[00:45:43] absolutely

[00:45:45] What about

[00:45:47] the other game so I did

[00:45:49] a voice note on Milan and I was discussing

[00:45:51] sort of links to from

[00:45:53] about then with Antonio Conte

[00:45:55] and obviously it was my whole

[00:45:57] 18 minutes on why purely

[00:45:59] he's just brilliant so we've

[00:46:01] Milan continue winning

[00:46:03] seventh victory in a row it's really impressive

[00:46:05] the way that they're turning around and finding their rhythms

[00:46:07] we can

[00:46:09] speak about the glory of Pulisic

[00:46:11] playing in the position that

[00:46:13] I actually wanted him to play at the start

[00:46:15] of the season I really wanted it to be too quasi

[00:46:17] out wide with Leão on the other side

[00:46:19] and Pulisic behind

[00:46:21] I know it's very it's very attacking

[00:46:23] but this was the game

[00:46:25] to try it in because Lupe Ruben Loftus-Cic

[00:46:27] wasn't available

[00:46:29] suspended for this match but it was brilliant

[00:46:31] to watch it was just absolutely brilliant

[00:46:33] to watch how well that they all flow together

[00:46:35] how well the team flows together

[00:46:37] and I never felt like purely was

[00:46:39] given time to find that and it's always

[00:46:41] it's always going to take time

[00:46:43] to find that regardless of all of this

[00:46:45] they're coming up against Roma

[00:46:47] in the Europa League

[00:46:51] we should really mention Cassano

[00:46:53] and his comment on Rafael Leão

[00:46:55] which were just

[00:46:57] there's another man with his pants who always wants to

[00:46:59] and I just never know why did he give

[00:47:01] him such a platform to speak

[00:47:03] it's like Joey Barton

[00:47:05] right like it's like why

[00:47:07] although sometimes he has said

[00:47:09] things in the past that I sort of agree with

[00:47:11] but so he came out

[00:47:13] and said that he well he said

[00:47:15] Rafael Leão is in a world-class player

[00:47:17] he'd been a sixth or seventh place team

[00:47:19] back in Cassano's glory days

[00:47:21] of Serie A you know

[00:47:23] like Cassano was playing in the late

[00:47:25] 80s into early 90s I mean

[00:47:27] it was still good Serie A

[00:47:29] don't get me wrong at the turn of the new millennium

[00:47:31] but I mean Cassano with the rose tinted spectacles

[00:47:33] yeah sorry me

[00:47:35] I mean if Saviciovic could win a Champions League

[00:47:37] then Rafael Leão would not be

[00:47:39] in the 70s anyway

[00:47:41] regardless of this we don't need to give him any more

[00:47:43] time but what I do want to say is that Milan

[00:47:45] are

[00:47:47] a better team than Roma at least the league

[00:47:49] suggests that

[00:47:51] between these two sides who do you think

[00:47:53] is coming into this with

[00:47:55] greater momentum I mean it's got to be

[00:47:57] the way that Milan is playing in the last seven matches

[00:47:59] but then you think of Daniela Dorossi's team

[00:48:01] and you think they've been there before

[00:48:03] recently they've been doing it in Europe

[00:48:05] recently can Roma do it again

[00:48:07] I think Dorossi will be hugely

[00:48:09] motivated to at least make the Europa League

[00:48:11] final because it's the one

[00:48:13] stick they can beat him with

[00:48:15] when it comes to the Mourinho comparisons

[00:48:17] at the moment you know Mourinho was the one

[00:48:19] who brought back Silvia to Roma for the first

[00:48:21] time since 2008 he was

[00:48:23] the one who won Roma's European trophy

[00:48:25] the conference league nearly won the Europa League the next year

[00:48:27] and so if Dorossi were to lose

[00:48:29] especially against a domestic rival

[00:48:31] it almost feels the worst possible way

[00:48:33] for you to lose in Europe is when you lose

[00:48:35] to someone you know from Serie A because it's like well

[00:48:37] there's no rhyme or

[00:48:39] reason to it you know them

[00:48:41] you're able to

[00:48:43] it's not like you have to study opposition you might be caught

[00:48:45] by surprise or not know what to expect

[00:48:47] you know Dorossi will know

[00:48:49] what to expect from Milan and vice versa

[00:48:51] and I think

[00:48:53] the Europa League would be a great

[00:48:55] competition for Roma to win not only for

[00:48:57] Dorossi to say look actually this squad

[00:48:59] is very good and Mourinho was

[00:49:01] being slightly disingenuous when he was suggesting

[00:49:03] that he was overachieving

[00:49:05] with an average group of players to win those

[00:49:07] European trophies but also

[00:49:09] above all it gives you access to next season's

[00:49:11] Champions League as a seed

[00:49:13] I think it's the best European competition

[00:49:15] that you can win say for the Champions League

[00:49:17] and as we've seen into notwithstanding

[00:49:19] Italy don't have the hope of winning the Champions League

[00:49:21] at the moment so I think

[00:49:23] Roma are going to be additionally motivated by that

[00:49:25] the problem for them is

[00:49:27] Milan have never won the Europa League so they have

[00:49:29] that to try and achieve

[00:49:31] and Milan are pretty much guaranteed

[00:49:33] a top four slash five finish

[00:49:35] now so the Champions League is sorted for them

[00:49:37] and I think that could

[00:49:39] possibly play into it. Milan have

[00:49:41] greater scope to rotate than Roma

[00:49:43] and Milan are better than Roma

[00:49:45] it's a blunt thing to say

[00:49:47] and it doesn't necessarily mean they'll win because

[00:49:49] last season Napoli

[00:49:51] strolled to the league title

[00:49:53] and yet they lost to Milan in the Champions League

[00:49:55] so it doesn't always follow that the best team

[00:49:57] is going to win even if they know each other domestically

[00:49:59] but Milan are better than Roma

[00:50:01] they're the second best team in Italy

[00:50:03] quite confidently now that the events have fallen away

[00:50:05] they're on a really strong run of form

[00:50:07] talking before about Piorre

[00:50:09] and perhaps him not getting all the

[00:50:11] credit he deserves for how

[00:50:13] well Milan have played actually recently

[00:50:15] Pulisic

[00:50:17] is playing at a really, really high level right now

[00:50:19] he's going to be the

[00:50:21] real focal point of this team

[00:50:23] the way things are going at the moment once Giroud leaves in the summer

[00:50:27] they have

[00:50:29] more about them than Roma

[00:50:31] Roma have improved under their

[00:50:33] I think they're in a much better place than they were

[00:50:35] for instance when they lost to Milan when they last played

[00:50:37] in January under Mourinho

[00:50:39] but do I think they're a better team than Milan

[00:50:41] I think Milan are the second best team in Italy

[00:50:43] and I think they were

[00:50:45] I think they're a Champions League

[00:50:47] Calibre team playing in the Europa League

[00:50:49] they're not a team that I would say should win

[00:50:51] the Champions League

[00:50:53] but they're a Champions League Calibre team

[00:50:55] but isn't Roma a Champions League Calibre team?

[00:50:57] they're on the way there

[00:50:59] they've proved it

[00:51:01] okay I'm wondering if Daniel Lidarosi started

[00:51:03] this year and the coach

[00:51:05] whether or not they would have

[00:51:07] because you look on paper right and you think there's a lot of talent there

[00:51:09] and it hasn't really

[00:51:11] we're starting to see it but you do think like

[00:51:13] Pellegrini, Di Bala, Lukaku

[00:51:15] there's a lot of talent there

[00:51:17] that we haven't seen the best of

[00:51:19] people who won the World Cup

[00:51:21] it'll be very interesting to see what happens with

[00:51:23] Roma next season because I was reading

[00:51:25] an article in Corriere del Sport

[00:51:27] and the other day they said 18 players

[00:51:29] have their futures

[00:51:31] up for debate

[00:51:33] uncertainty with the players

[00:51:35] like Lukaku or Bing on loan

[00:51:37] and Renato Sanchez and Asmune

[00:51:39] and there's just loads of them and Hoisin

[00:51:41] and players out of contracts

[00:51:43] Binatola etc so it'll be interesting to see

[00:51:45] if Di Rosi is in charge what his squad looks like

[00:51:47] next season but just one final thing you mentioned

[00:51:49] on paper there

[00:51:51] I think on paper Milan

[00:51:53] are much closer actually to

[00:51:55] what the table suggests and I might have to

[00:51:57] enlist the help of the archivista

[00:51:59] that I know at Milan

[00:52:01] the guy who works on the archive because

[00:52:03] I'd love to know the statistics from Milan's league

[00:52:05] results when they've had their best 11

[00:52:07] to pick from because they've been decimated

[00:52:09] from injuries through injuries all season

[00:52:11] long very rarely if they were able

[00:52:13] to pick their best back four and it's been

[00:52:15] defensive frailties which have cost them very

[00:52:17] rarely have you looked at them and seen

[00:52:19] at Milan side they're incapable of scoring goals

[00:52:21] but you know they had all sorts of injuries

[00:52:23] like the Tumori and Kalulu and then

[00:52:25] Teo and Anders for a time

[00:52:27] Calabria

[00:52:29] Chao there's every single play

[00:52:31] and then you can argue well that's part of running

[00:52:33] a club successfully is your

[00:52:35] fitness training and your medical department

[00:52:37] so on and so forth but I would love to see

[00:52:39] purely given another season

[00:52:41] with this group of players with another couple

[00:52:43] of additions next summer to see how close

[00:52:45] they could get to Nzagi's into next season

[00:52:47] so I think on that basis

[00:52:49] I would agree that Milan are the superior team

[00:52:51] but that doesn't mean necessarily

[00:52:53] especially with the second leg in Rome

[00:52:55] that Roma can't get the better of them

[00:52:57] You're so right about that

[00:52:59] the fact is that all these

[00:53:01] players that they've born in the transfer market

[00:53:03] you think it's so many different ones and yet

[00:53:05] most nearly all of them have worked out

[00:53:07] I mean they've all been brilliant

[00:53:09] I mean Loftus-Chick and Pulisic probably

[00:53:11] the two standard players

[00:53:13] I don't know if we can say Chick-Waz has been brilliant

[00:53:15] he had a good game at the weekend

[00:53:17] but if you start looking at statistics

[00:53:19] there's a general uptick

[00:53:21] in his performances we're starting to see

[00:53:23] the Chick-Waz that we saw from Villareal

[00:53:25] and he is even bettering some of this

[00:53:27] like Piorri was talking about from the statistics

[00:53:29] that he was showing back when he was playing in La Liga

[00:53:31] I think that you see it's quite hard

[00:53:33] to come into a new team and show the brilliance

[00:53:35] straight away I think it was easy for Pulisic

[00:53:37] he made it look easy so we sort of started

[00:53:39] to expect that from everyone else but then you look at

[00:53:41] you know him I think

[00:53:43] that Chick-Waz is going to be brilliant next season

[00:53:45] I'm so excited to see what he can produce

[00:53:47] and going forward I think Gaby are coming in

[00:53:49] and showing that level of performance at the back

[00:53:51] is really impressive

[00:53:53] and I look at this team and I think

[00:53:55] oh my god imagine one season where they now

[00:53:57] really know each other I mean Reinders has been fantastic

[00:53:59] Adli has put in some great performances

[00:54:01] and this is a midfield

[00:54:03] that was completely changed

[00:54:05] completely changed because Ben-Assay wasn't

[00:54:07] available at the start of the season

[00:54:09] and you look at that they'd lost

[00:54:11] big players like Tonali

[00:54:13] and Ibrahimovic from leadership as well

[00:54:15] and to create this level of

[00:54:17] comfort in playing with each other

[00:54:19] and understanding tactical

[00:54:21] understanding and rhythm I think

[00:54:23] he deserves at least one more year

[00:54:25] because I think this team could be really exciting

[00:54:27] maybe we can continue creating these wonderful

[00:54:29] cycles and football where it's like Inter

[00:54:31] and then Milan and then maybe

[00:54:33] Napoli will come back and then maybe

[00:54:35] and then maybe you just will win again we never know

[00:54:37] Mina just one final point on that you made

[00:54:39] a really good comparison there between

[00:54:41] Chick-Waz and Pulisic because that's obviously

[00:54:43] what supporters do they see two wingers

[00:54:45] come in and they naturally

[00:54:47] compare them and as you said Pulisic hit the ground

[00:54:49] running exactly Pulisic

[00:54:51] hit the ground running scored in his debut against Bologna

[00:54:53] never look back he's now into double figures I think for lead goals

[00:54:55] and Chick-Waz took his time

[00:54:57] then he obviously went to AFKON as well

[00:54:59] and what I found was interesting was

[00:55:01] was Piali saying

[00:55:03] they asked him recently

[00:55:05] they said what does Chick-Waz need to do

[00:55:07] to be more like

[00:55:09] they basically said what's the difference between

[00:55:11] Chick-Waz and Pulisic and he said

[00:55:13] Pulisic scores goals

[00:55:15] creates goals and works very hard for the team

[00:55:17] and they said what does Chick-Waz need to do

[00:55:19] and he said score goals create goals

[00:55:21] and work very hard for the team so

[00:55:23] Piali I think has been very good in terms of when to use

[00:55:25] the carrot and when to use the stick it was

[00:55:27] clearly the stick with Chick-Waz this is about three weeks

[00:55:29] ago and the proof is in the pudding

[00:55:31] since then performances he's getting goals

[00:55:33] he's providing assists and

[00:55:35] it's made a big difference

[00:55:37] Yeah it was definitely my

[00:55:39] player to watch out when to look out for

[00:55:41] when he first came in he was the one I was most

[00:55:43] excited about because he's just such a direct

[00:55:45] and I think there's a lot of untapped potential

[00:55:47] there that he was so fun to

[00:55:49] watch in La Liga and I'm very

[00:55:51] convinced he's going to be a huge standout

[00:55:53] player for Milan so just a little

[00:55:55] bit more time for us to really see what

[00:55:57] he's capable of

[00:55:59] Just want to

[00:56:01] move on quickly just to say that Bologna

[00:56:03] dropped points against Frazzinoni

[00:56:05] that was a

[00:56:07] nil-nil we didn't expect that to be honest

[00:56:09] with you but a lot has been said about

[00:56:11] Atalanta's away form but

[00:56:13] actually if you look at Bologna's away form

[00:56:15] there's a big difference 20 points away from

[00:56:17] Hirm 38 points at Hirm so there is

[00:56:19] certainly not the same level of

[00:56:21] performance that we get from Bologna when

[00:56:23] they travel and the one that we get from them

[00:56:25] at Hirm of course that takes nothing away

[00:56:27] from their Brunyan season

[00:56:29] moving on to Napoli, Osman scored a

[00:56:31] goal by scored the equalizer

[00:56:33] by jumping not 233 meters

[00:56:35] but 223 cm

[00:56:37] He's tied outside of the same

[00:56:39] just leapt into the stadium

[00:56:43] To be fair he does

[00:56:45] wear a mask, do you know what I mean? A cape is not

[00:56:47] out of the questions but

[00:56:49] maybe last season

[00:56:51] he was capable of jumping 233 meters

[00:56:53] not this year

[00:56:55] Patrick my only fear is that

[00:56:57] I've said this on radio

[00:56:59] I just feel like nobody might have

[00:57:01] realised because you know

[00:57:03] I've already said this before

[00:57:05] but I'm so convinced it was meters

[00:57:07] I didn't even question it

[00:57:09] but either way Napoli had a terrific

[00:57:11] game in the sense that you know

[00:57:13] obviously when to go down in the first

[00:57:15] 15 minutes there was

[00:57:17] there was a protest being carried out

[00:57:19] by their fans

[00:57:21] they didn't show up it was an away game

[00:57:23] for the first 15 minutes hunger banner that said

[00:57:25] absent like you and then came in

[00:57:27] to see the Moradi won go down

[00:57:29] against Monza who

[00:57:31] is a lovely target man today you know playing for

[00:57:33] Jurich

[00:57:35] either way then they

[00:57:37] scored these three goals

[00:57:39] from the 55th minute to the

[00:57:41] 61st which were three of the most

[00:57:43] beautiful goals I think I've ever

[00:57:45] seen and it was fantastic

[00:57:47] one from Zylinski obviously the equaliser

[00:57:49] from Ossiman and then

[00:57:51] Politano with that oh sensational

[00:57:53] volley sensational goal

[00:57:55] and then Monza

[00:57:57] scored with Colpani and then

[00:57:59] responds in the end so really end to

[00:58:01] end match great Carl Zerner

[00:58:03] talks about the attacking game and

[00:58:05] how Napoli

[00:58:07] you know this is

[00:58:09] what's brilliant about Napoli is that they have a great

[00:58:11] attacking game it's just that defensively they've really been let down

[00:58:13] this season they're just not a

[00:58:15] secure team at the back

[00:58:17] these are a buy-in who got him

[00:58:19] a game to watch whole weekend I mean the Derby

[00:58:21] was a Derby but this was a

[00:58:23] it was a bit nonsense but it was really fun

[00:58:25] to watch. Nicky the last

[00:58:27] 30 minutes of you if you're in Tina was

[00:58:29] a good Nap time

[00:58:33] but that Kiotr Zylinski he

[00:58:35] seems quite good I wonder if Carl Zerner would

[00:58:37] have liked to have him in the Champions League last

[00:58:39] 16. I know right

[00:58:41] how annoying how annoying

[00:58:43] but yeah that's

[00:58:45] the round up of all the games

[00:58:47] there was also an interesting 3-2

[00:58:49] battle between Empoli and Torino it's something

[00:58:51] you wouldn't expect this is a game that screams

[00:58:53] under two goals but it wasn't

[00:58:55] Milan defeated Lecce 3-0

[00:58:57] as you all know Atalanta lost

[00:58:59] 2-1 to Cagliere

[00:59:01] Saleni Tana and Saswolo

[00:59:03] 2-2 and Verona lost

[00:59:05] to Genoa Genoa not

[00:59:07] the best travellers but managed two goals

[00:59:09] against

[00:59:11] Verona obviously we have the european league qualifiers

[00:59:13] quarterfinals

[00:59:15] right qualifiers the european league

[00:59:17] quarterfinals first leg

[00:59:19] on Thursday it is Milan versus

[00:59:21] Roma and Liverpool versus Atalanta

[00:59:23] and we have the conference league

[00:59:25] Victoria Pillsen versus Fiorintina

[00:59:27] I was just going to chime in

[00:59:29] real quickly on that before we wrap

[00:59:31] up which is just because Genoa

[00:59:33] with that win pretty much are out of that

[00:59:35] relegation conversation now which is a really

[00:59:37] intense relegation conversation because 13

[00:59:39] plays Caliere 30 points all the way down

[00:59:41] to Saswolo in 19 there's

[00:59:43] 5 points between all those teams

[00:59:45] and I think really like

[00:59:47] Goodmans and who assisted

[00:59:49] one and scored one at the weekend

[00:59:51] that's the difference a lot of time between

[00:59:53] relegation fight and not relegation fight

[00:59:55] if you've got a 12 goal striker that's

[00:59:57] very often going to be enough to get you out of trouble

[00:59:59] and I think he's been the difference for them

[01:00:01] hence why he's been linked with Inter amongst

[01:00:03] others next summer we've got a couple

[01:00:05] of shout outs Gregory Hill

[01:00:07] and Daniel Kane thank you very much for

[01:00:09] supporting us and

[01:00:11] as Mina mentioned there it is

[01:00:13] a european week so

[01:00:15] Europa League and conference league

[01:00:17] ties on the horizon I'm sure

[01:00:19] we'll be back over the course of the week

[01:00:21] with some extra content for you there wrapping up

[01:00:23] those first leg matches between

[01:00:25] Milan Roma and Liverpool

[01:00:27] Atlanta and Victoria Pillsen

[01:00:29] Fiorentina but

[01:00:31] that is all for us from now

[01:00:33] or from us for now

[01:00:35] thank you very much to Mina

[01:00:37] for hosting to

[01:00:39] Nikki Bandini and producer Simon

[01:00:41] we will see you very soon

[01:00:43] on another episode of Seria Chronicles

[01:00:45] bye bye

[01:00:49] here is the derby number 183

[01:00:51] of the capital

[01:00:53] the winner is Roma

[01:00:55] the winner is Daniel Edderossi

[01:00:57] 1-0 on the lead of Igor Tudor

[01:00:59] the decisive net

[01:01:01] at 42nd of the first half

[01:01:03] Gianluca Mancini on the head

[01:01:05] after the corner kick

[01:01:07] beat by Paolo DiBallo and I think

[01:01:09] it's a good result
