Patrick Kendrick on Atalanta leaving it exceptionally late against Fiorentina to book a ticket to the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus, on a night which saw Gianluca Scamacca show his absolute class.

It has been an impressive campaign for Bologna as the in-demand Thiago Motta’s men put Roma to the sword at the Olimpico with another brilliant performance from Joshua Zirkzee and co., all but sealing 4th place in Serie A.

Inter clinched the Scudetto and made history by doing so for the first time in a Milan Derby clash, as they defeated their Milanese rivals 2-1. It was a spiteful match with three late red cards as things got heated before the final whistle. We wax lyrical about how remarkable Inter has been this season under Simone Inzaghi.

It was a week of draws in Serie A but the football was secondary as the main focus of the week was the wellbeing of Roma’s Evan Ndicka, who collapsed on the pitch at Udinese with chest pain. Fortunately he is on the road to recovery.

Mina Rzouki on a remarkable European night for Italian clubs in the Europa League quarter final 1st leg. Atalanta went to Anfield and brought home a 0-3 victory over Liverpool, and Roma took the spoils from San Siro with a 0-1 win over Milan…. and both teams probably should have come home with even bigger margins.

Unstoppable Inter earned a stoppage time win at Udinese with a Davide Frattesi goal to set up the potential of sealing the Scudetto with a victory in the Milan derby in two weeks' time.

It was a memorable Rome derby for the sideshow drama, as Gianluca Mancini scored the winning goal and carried on with the curva sud in the afters, and Paulo Dybala reminded Matteo Guendouzi of their respective international exploits.
